The State Information Commission which is vested with judicial powers by the Right to Information Act received complaints from members belonging to different strata of society for denying information by public information officers and appellate authorities. The State Information Commission examined these cases and wherever they found willful intransigence the public information officers responsible for the same where awarded punishments by pronouncing appropriate orders. The some of the decisions arrived at by the commission along with the orders are appended.
